Fall 2012 Welcome to Fall CA 121

We are three week's into the Fall Semester, and we are beginning to experience the wonders of nature, as we experience the wonders of art in its comtemporary transition.

nytimes.com/design        a link that will bring you up to speed of what is happening in the art world of current globalization.

Look at Elizabeth Catlett ; the tattoo master,  Dr. Lakra; Art and Leisure for the Fall season, that includes all concepts of art.

Opening at the Worcester Art Museum, the end of September, collection of Photographs from the sixties.  A must addition to your 'to do list'.

One could spend all one's leisure/productive time, attempting to keep abreast what is happening , that surrounds our daily  lives. This would be ideal...but not practical....we have so many  items to accomplish.

A trend that is appearing in the cultural world...attendance is increasing at all cultural events.
This increase is not isolated to FREE admission; this increase is evident in  paid admission.

Is this trend due to the economy, the political climate.....Your thoughts are welcome.
My thoughts....this trend is an escape from the  reality of existing.  A good escape, but  one needs to appreciate what one is escaping to......and, is this increase in cultural activity  expanding one's  appreciative values?   A question to consider.

Looking forward to your postings.

Thank you.
